In addition to giving parents a current digital photograph and fingerprints, Child Safety Day offers a do-it-yourself DNA Collection Kit, teaches emergency response and safety skills to kids, and outlines a nine-point plan on what to do if a child
disappears.
While child safety and emergency response is the primary focus of the event, we believe that overall health and wellness for the whole family is equally important. Therefore, we plan on highlighting several aspects of what steps event patrons can take to lead a healthy lifestyle. This includes an on-site nutritionist, personal trainer, and the inclusion of healthy snacks to be served during the event.
KlaasKids Child Safety Day is underwritten by the Mungenast Automotive Family and is provided to the community free of charge. Last year, thanks to donations from supporters, Mungenast Automotive Family was able to donate almost $10,000 directly to the KlaasKids Foundation to help further programs both locally and nationwide.
KlaasKids Child Safety Day will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the following Mungenast Automotive Family locations:
Mungenast St. Louis Honda
Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis
Mungenast Hyundai
Mungenast Alton Toyota-Scion
We are planning a fun event for children to remember, and for parents to gain expert advice regarding child safety issues. At the event there will be food and refreshments, health & safety exhibits, local police and fire officials on hand with a fire truck, face painting, and carnival rides. Through community involvement, our goal is to provide a highly-engaging, family-oriented experience focused on the health and well-being of our children.
